Vast Improvements

I've been using custom brushes to try to create matte paintings and environments, instead of using photos, textures, and 3d generated content.  This piece was alot of fun and I can hardly turn away from it to post it here.

This is still a work in progress but I feel that it's a vast improvement on my previous painted works and things seem to be starting to click in my brushstrokes.

Hi Matt
certianly looking pretty cool
i think now your starting to get the brushes down you could work on your composition - this one is very central and the buildings look very similar on either side of the valley - try adding some more buildings and varying the shapes - hope that helps a bit

Hey Matt, the painted mountain sides are lookn nice. I think the composition is a little too split down the center. Maybe add a cluster of buildings on one side or extend the canvas and add more mountains. also the painting of the buildings and the mountains are a bid different, so maybe blend the two a little more when you go back into it! cool blog man.
