Bierstadt Machines

This morning I was studying some Bierstadt paintings and at work today we talked about Terminator 4 and the war against the machines. I guess both kinda seeped into my subconscious tonight.

This took about 20 minutes for the bulk of the work and 20 more for a few more details.

Thanks! The goal is to see what I can come up with in 20 minutes. I took part in the art wars competition at Siggraph and they only gave us 20 minutes. I personally think that two 20 minute intervals is best but sometimes you have to be faster. If you only focus on speed that can be a bad thing but it's good prep for tight deadlines.

Ahhh....Bierstadt, and what a unique combo as well, Bierstadt and the Terminator.

I often wonder what some of those old masters would have done with some of the digital tools we have now days.......I think they would have loved it!

Nice lighting, can definitely feel the Bierstadt influence....now that is the type of light I needed for my plein air.
